Copyright Policy
Last updated and effective: November 4, 2026.
This Copyright Policy forms part of the Terms of Use of Resonant Music Inc. ("Resonant", "we", "us" or "our"). Capitalized terms that are not defined in this Policy have the meanings given in the Terms of Use.
1. Our Policy
Resonant respects the intellectual property rights of others and requires users of the Service to do the same. Resonant responds to notices of claimed copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. §512 (the "DMCA"), and terminates, in appropriate circumstances, the Accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
2. Designated Agent
Notices of claimed infringement and counter-notifications must be sent to Resonant's designated agent:
Resonant Music Inc.
Attention: Copyright Agent
Email: support@resonantmusic.co
3. Notice of Claimed Infringement
If you are a copyright owner, or are authorized to act on behalf of one, and you believe that material available through the Service infringes that copyright, you may submit a written notice to the designated agent. To be effective under the DMCA, the notice must include all of the following:
- a physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed;
- identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed or, where a single notice covers multiple copyrighted works, a representative list of those works;
- identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and that is to be removed or disabled, with information reasonably sufficient for Resonant to locate it in the Service, such as the name of the track, release, Pulse or Story, the name of the Artist or user who posted it, and a link to it where one is available;
- information reasonably sufficient for Resonant to contact you, such as your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
A notice that does not substantially comply with these requirements may not be acted upon. Before submitting a notice, you should consider whether the use of the material may be authorized, including as a fair use under 17 U.S.C. §107.
4. Our Response to a Notice
On receipt of a notice that substantially complies with Section 3, Resonant will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material identified in the notice. Resonant will take reasonable steps to notify the user who made the material available that it has been removed or disabled, and may provide that user with a copy of the notice, including the name and contact information of the person who submitted it, so that the user may respond.
5. Counter-Notification
If material you made available has been removed or disabled in response to a notice, and you believe in good faith that it was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification to the designated agent. To be effective under the DMCA, the counter-notification must include all of the following:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location in the Service at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled;
- a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled;
- your name, address and telephone number; and
- a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located or, if your address is outside the United States, of any judicial district in which Resonant may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the notice or an agent of that person.
6. Restoration of Removed Material
On receipt of a counter-notification that substantially complies with Section 5, Resonant will promptly provide a copy of it to the person who submitted the original notice and inform that person that Resonant will restore the removed material, or cease disabling access to it, in ten (10) business days. Resonant will restore the material, or cease disabling access to it, not less than ten (10) and not more than fourteen (14) business days after receiving the counter-notification, unless the designated agent first receives notice from the person who submitted the original notice that the person has filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the user from engaging in infringing activity relating to the material in the Service.
7. Repeat Infringers
Resonant terminates, in appropriate circumstances, the Accounts of users who are repeat infringers. Resonant may also, at its discretion, limit access to the Service or terminate the Account of any user who infringes the intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement. A user whose Account has been terminated under this Section may not create a new Account.
8. Misrepresentations
Under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees, incurred by the alleged infringer, by the copyright owner or its licensee, or by Resonant, as a result of Resonant's reliance on that misrepresentation. If you are unsure whether material infringes your copyright, or whether your material was removed in error, you may wish to consult an attorney before submitting a notice or counter-notification.
9. Trademarks and Other Intellectual Property
This Policy and the procedures it describes apply only to claims of copyright infringement. To report the infringement of a trademark or any other intellectual property right, email support@resonantmusic.co with your name and contact information, a description of the right concerned and its owner, and information reasonably sufficient for Resonant to locate the material in the Service.
10. Changes to This Policy
Resonant may amend this Policy from time to time, in the manner described in Section 22 of the Terms of Use.
